One of the wonderful, beautiful things I had to give up moving from Washington to Phoenix, Arizona was the typical leaf changing, crisp aired October. Now is the time, in Phoenix, to pull our the BBQ and fire up the grill. It is too cold for swimming but cool enough for outdoor fires and grilling. We have few trees with leaves to change and have to spend an hour driving North to capture those colors.

Outdoor fires and grilling sound heavenly. It’s been so long since I lived somewhere I can enjoy seasons and I am so happy to see the colors change, feel the change in the air, and the promise of new beginnings.
