Merry Christmas to all my friends, family, followers, and neighbors in the Bloggerhood! I hope you’re enjoying a lovely morning surrounded by your loved ones and a nice stash of goodies. Apparently, Santa (and my hubby) think I should keep blogging, since I found these kick ass shirts under the tree this morning. I also received an early Christmas present last week in the form of a contract with a publisher! All this encouragement may cause me to finally start calling myself “a writer” without stuttering. 😉 Merry Christmas to me! Keep calm and blog on my friends!

Thank you all for your sweet wishes. I am definitely excited about being published, but it’s not Random House or Doubleday calling (although my mom is acting like it is). LOL It’s a small local publisher, but I am really thrilled that someone likes my writing enough to publish it. I’m reviewing the contract now (totally clueless) and the deal is they want to publish a collection of my stories. I’ve shared some here and have others as well. I’n working on a few more to add. I’ll keep everyone posted on release date. Word is 60-90 days from signed contract.
Bottom line: It will be a dream come true to hold a book in my hand that I have authored. I would not have been brave enough to share my writing with anyone formally if not for all the support and encouragement I have received from fellow talented writers such as the group I’ve met on WordPress. Thank you! Keep writing and believe in yourselves my friends. Share your talent. Keep Calm and Blog On! 😉
